Alan Phillips is a member of the Board of People for Equal Parental Responsibility , Inc.

Mr. Phillips is a professional engineer and the founder of Balcones Engineering LLC, a firm that provides civil engineering design and construction services throughout Texas. Prior to Balcones Engineering, Mr. Phillips held middle and senior level corporate positions in the field of engineering, construction and project management. He has an MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech.
 

Mr. Phillips attends church regularly, plays guitar, and is a member of Iron Sharpens Iron, a spiritual support group for non-custodial fathers.
 
Mr. Phillips has a beautiful 18-month old baby boy named Ethan.
